What bugged me was the lack of life vests that werent broken and the dirty lazy river. The food line wasnt too bad at only an hour wait. We tried again on labor day expecting it to be crazy. Honestly its an over sight of six flags since there are thousands of stay at home moms who still frequent the park trying to escape the heat. On wednesday we thought we'd try to go back after not visiting the park since july. Still long lines for food, not enough life jackets, under staffed and long lines for slides. I tried to go several times after thinking it would slow down but it didnt seem to get better. The snacks were fine since we could get them at any point. The food was decent but not 3 hours wait worth it. Apparently everyone else had purchased them also. 3 hours to use a food pass we had purchased. We made the mistake of attempting to get food and waited not one, not two but three hours in line. The lines were ridiculous and the pools were over crowded. Still we decided to look past it and keep on. We went as it got hotter and much to our dismay they had ridiculous lines to park and were trying to situate everyone in an overflow dirt field. Not a big deal as it was still quite cold. I wad confused at six flags decision to only open select weekends and minimal hours. Wet n wild was always opened around april and closed around October. We purchased food passes and season passes this year excited to see what six flags had to offer. With that being said I was highly disappointed this year. Its been a tradition to go since my late teen years and I have brought all three of my girls here. Every year we have gladly gotten season passes and gone almost every weekend and evening that it was open. We've been going to wet n wild now hurricane harbor for 12 years now. Hopefully changes planned for the park in 2020 will address these issues and change the experience to the memorable one it could/should be. So unless you go on a cold rainy day, of which their are few in Phoenix, expect long lines, poor service and spending more time waiting than actually enjoying the park. It was 111 degrees so that may have had something to do with it, along with the fact that the park was woefully understaffed, but I’m guessing it was just their usual service because no one has required anything different from them. Most of the staff was lukewarm in terms of customer service. Throughout the park minor things were broken, missing or temporarily out of order, paint was chipped or other updates were needed.

Therefore, plan on spending more time in line than enjoying the “rides”. The wait in the food court was almost as long, ditto for some of the more popular food stands. On a hot summer Saturday, lines for the slides, etc. However, there are many hurdles to overcome for this former Wet n Wild, now Six Flags attraction. The were readily available throughout the park. Note: we rented tubes when we entered the park, but it really wasn’t necessary. Note, there are options to purchase admission two days in advance at a discounted rate. If the park was a well oiled machine, a la Disney or Universal, this could be a fun place for everyone to enjoy and the price would be more palatable. There appeared to be adequate security at the front gates and lifeguards at the pools and slides.

plus the Icees, Dip’n Dots and all the other treats to help them cool down. The positives are that the kids love the wave pool, lazy river, slides, etc.
